Senior Accountant – ERP Integration and Payroll

Berry Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant – Payroll & ERP Integration. Responsibilities

Payroll Accountant:

  • Collaborate closely with the HR payroll team to ensure payroll activity is accurately reflected in the financial statements.
  • Administer commission calculations for divisional sales representatives, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Prepare and record monthly payroll accruals and perform account reconciliations.
  • Support the monthly close process by delivering timely and accurate payroll-related financial data to senior leadership.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of employee payroll data and ensure compliance with data privacy.

ERP Implementation – Accounting Lead:

  • Serve as the accounting team’s key representative in Berry’s ERP system upgrade project.
  • Lead efforts related to financial system integration, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful implementation of accounting-related ERP functionality.

Project Support & Process Improvement:

  • Participate in strategic initiatives involving organizational change and data transformation, with a focus on improving accounting processes, automation, and efficiency.

Team Collaboration & Support:

  • Provide backup support to the accounting team as needed, contributing to a flexible and responsive work environment.

Qualifications

  • 4 year Business Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years experience
  • Data transformation and project management experience
  • Capable of building and maintaining effective and trusting relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience working with and protecting confidential employee information.
