Berry Companies Inc, in Wichita, KS is an administrative support group that provides IT, accounting, data processing, payroll, insurance, marketing and financial services to each of its nine operating divisions.
We are seeking a Business Analyst who will help us better serve our internal Departments and Divisions, using data and information to provide insight, building operational tools, and exploring project-based questions around business Operations. If you enjoy dealing with numbers and data, have strong presentation skills, excellent computer knowledge and skills, we'd like to get to know you.
This position will be located on site at our corporate office in Wichita, KS.
Responsibilities:
Excellent communicator, both written and oral.
Must enjoy dealing with numbers and data.
Excellent computer knowledge and skills business and operations.
Assess historical results to improve understanding of our markets and gain insight into the choices of our customers and employees.
Use data and information to tell stories. This includes the creation of presentations for divisional staff, management and the executive team.
Keep up with developments in industry trends by reading current journals, books and magazine articles.
Financial Analysis Knowledge of basic and advanced financial information including accounting ratios, discounted cash flows, hurdle rates, internal rates of return, option valuations, etc.
Financial Modeling Knowledge of basic and advanced financial modeling techniques including scenario analysis, probability theory, assumption sensitivity analysis, etc.
Strong presentation skills. This includes the creation of presentations for divisional staff, management and the executive team.
Research new developments and techniques in financial analysis including new software, programs, and other resources that may enhance breadth, depth and visualization of the analytics.
Organize, plan, and prioritize work with minimal guidance.
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including Data Tables, Power Query, and Macros.
Data Visualization should have proficiency in the creation of charts and graphs to support recommendations.
Power BI experience is a plus, but not required.
Power Automate experience a plus, but not required.
Time Management managing ones own time.
Other duties or projects, as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Business, Finance, or Operations Economics.
Ability to travel 4-5 days every month, though typically under 10% travel. Early training days will have substantial travel.
Management experience with P&L responsibility and/or experience with business analytics.
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including Data Tables, Power Query, and Macros.
Data Visualization should have proficiency in the creation of charts and graphs to support recommendations.
Power BI experience is plus, but not required.
Power Automate experience a plus, but not required.
Time Management managing ones own time.
Critical Thinking skills.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds or pushing/pulling small objects
Sits most of the time
Occasional to frequent walking or standing
Physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines which include a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc. on a repetitive basis.
